About the Chef

Courtney's culinary journey began at a young age when she fell in love with cooking shows on PBS. As a child, she had an insatiable curiosity for food and would eagerly learn about different cuisines and ingredients. This passion eventually led her to attend the renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where she received her degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.

Throughout her career, Courtney has gained valuable experience working in a variety of settings across the United States. She served as the Operations Manager for the restaurants inside of The Museum of Modern Art in New York City and later worked as the Food Service Operations Manager and Catering Manager at the Portland 5 Center of Performing Arts in Portland, Oregon. More recently, she served as the Catering Manager at Larks Kitchen and Cocktails in the Rogue Valley.

Despite her extensive professional experience, Courtney's love for cooking extends far beyond her work. She is a passionate advocate for quality, locally-sourced ingredients and strives to incorporate sustainably raised meats and seafood into her dishes whenever possible. She is also committed to using organic ingredients and supporting local farmer's markets.

In her free time, Courtney enjoys camping, biking, traveling and exploring new cuisines and cultures. She lives in Ashland with her husband and two young children, ages 6 and 2.
